From Principal’s Desk

Charotar Education Society (CES) is a pioneer educational Trust, which has served the cause of education in India for over nine decades, With its farsighted vision, CES planned to start self-finance colleges in the faculty of education. Thus Shri I. J. Patel B.Ed. College got the proud distinction of being the first self-financed college of Gujarat state. It is my pleasure and privilege to get associated to this great institution as its founder Principal (In charge). Challenges were many and expectations were high. Fortified with the blessing of the Almighty God, support of ever-cooperative management (CES), a dynamic team of faculty members and a very enthusiastic batch of student teachers, we launched our journey of the noble cause: nurturing effective teachers through quality education. I can say with satisfaction that in less than a decade we have been able to carve a niche for our institution and established it as one of the most respected and reputed institutions of Gujarat. During this process we have always adhered to our principles, objective, mission and vision. We have always conducted value based academic and social programmes, to concur with the vision and mission of founder fathers and patrons of great Charotar Education Society, who has always given importance to egalitarian society, Through consistent innovation in curriculum development, frequent up-gradation of its infrastructural facilities and human resources, and wide range of diverse co-curricular activities, the college has constantly strived to scale new heights of excellence. The sense of belonging, the dedication towards performance, the commitment toward duties and the joy of excellence is palpable in the environment of our college. While faculty members have constantly updated their qualification and knowledge, it is ensured that the final beneficiaries remain the student teachers of the institution. The success of this effort is reflected in the feedback received from the alumnae and their employers. The institution has fulfilled its moral responsibility of incorporating every component of the society, from kids to old people, in designing and executing its inclusive education programmes. This has broken the shackle of monotonous and exam oriented education system and led to lively and realistic approaches, enhanced efficacy and effectiveness of practical education programmes. Over the years the tender foot of institution has grown into firm steps and we are now progressing by leaps and bounds. I.J.P. Coordinator’s column Society needs quality teachers. Their role is of paramount importance for the overall development of the society only committed quality teachers in an Institute can take a nation forward. They will not only impart the technical, but value based education too. Teaching on ethics and morality should also find an important place in the curricula Indian culture will be the driving force to achieve excellence. Keeping in mind that excellence matters, this institution, Shri I. J. Patel B.Ed. College was established in the year 2000 the institution has successfully completed nine years its existence. During this period the achievement of the institution in different areas of human activity is stupendous. This achievement had been possible because of the harmonious co-operation between faculty and student teachers. The faculty is extremely cooperative and takes keen interest in all the activities of the institutions. The NAAC Report would not have been possible without the active cooperation of the faculty and non teaching members of this institution. I earnestly believe that this co-operation would continue in the years to come and would pave a path to words the betterment and upliftment of our institution.
